- Youth Fly Fishing Camps: The Gallatin River Task Force, in partnership with Gallatin River Guides, hosts youth fly fishing clinics during the summer. These full-day clinics teach young anglers essential skills, safety practices, and river conservation, offering a hands-on experience in fly fishing.
- Big Sky Resort Activities: In the winter, Big Sky Resort offers season-long kids lesson programs, as well as one- or multi-day lesson packages to get your kids comfortable and competent on the slopes. The play in the terrain parks, glades, and hidden forests throughout the vast mountain. Beyond skiing, Big Sky Resort offers a range of summer activities for families, including zip-lining, mountain biking, scenic chairlift rides, and a bungee trampoline. These attractions provide thrilling experiences amidst the stunning mountain backdrop.
- Easy Nature Hikes: Big Sky boasts several accessible trails suitable for children. The Ousel Falls Trail is a 1.6-mile round-trip hike leading to a picturesque waterfall, ideal for a family outing. Both are usually accessible in the winter as it is a regular dog walking area and the snow gets packed down. Snowshoes rarely needed!
