Snow and Summer in the Same Week I June 2025, Big Sky, MT

Despite a brief bout of winter weather last weekend where we had fresh snow fall at the higher elevations (over about 9,000 ft) summer in Big Sky is here. The weekly Farmer's Markets and Music in the Mountains shows are underway this week, and July 4th, Ennis Rodeo, and PBR Week are just around the corner. While those of us that call Big Sky home relish in the "off season" when it quiets down after ski season, after a few weeks we look forward to visitor traffic picking back up and breathing more life into Big Sky.

On the real estate front, opportunities are increasing for buyers looking for a new or replacement vacation home. Our inventory is increasing giving buyers more options to choose from, and in some of our price ranges prices have come down slightly from a year ago. With summer visitor traffic expected to be strong over the next 2-3 months, sellers have an opportunity to capitalize on the summer selling season by getting their properties on the market in the coming weeks.

Overall, the market remains slower than "normal" and compared to this time last year. Check out the May Market Statistics below, and stay tuned in a couple of weeks for our June and Q2 Market Report.
