Spring is (almost) here in Big Sky! April 2025

If you're thinking this doesn't look like Montana, you are correct. 😉 Big Sky school have their spring break in April, so we took the opportunity to spend 12 days in Costa Rica with our two boys. One is off to college next year, so it's the last break where they definitely had the same time off, and we made the most of it! As much as we love the snow, by April we are ready for the sunshine. And we even get to have a few more days on the slopes ⛷️ since the resort's closing day is this Sunday 4/27.

While we were out of the country a lot happened in the U.S. economically and politically, and it made for interesting discussion at our office meeting last week. While the winter season continued in the vein of being unpredictable in the real estate market in Montana, we are encouraged with the activity we are seeing in the past couple of weeks. Properties that have been sitting on the market are having new buyer interest, and some sellers anxious for a sale before the off season are reducing prices to generate interest.

While visitor traffic in Big Sky will be slowing down for the next 6 weeks, in Bozeman their spring real estate market is just gearing up. It's a time when we typically see a flurry of new listings.
With the stock market chaos, we are seeing buyers looking for resort real estate investments that have proven to be more stable in an otherwise rocky time. If you are one of them, reach out to me and I'll share what I think are the best opportunities to pick up a vacation or investment property deal in our market at the moment.

I am always happy to weigh in on whether this is the right time to cash in on your real estate investment, so reach out to me for a personalized market review of your property if it will help you make a decision.
