Walk Main Street from Rouse to Black on a Thursday evening in July, and the block feels different than it did two summers ago. Half the storefronts you'd have passed in 2024 have new signage, new chefs, or new owners. The other half are the same tenants you know, holding down the anchor corners while a wave of independent kitchens fills in around them.
The interesting thing about summer 2026 isn't any single opening. It's the geography. Nearly every new downtown restaurant of the past twelve months sits inside the six-block corridor that closes to cars for Music on Main. If you already live here, that changes the shape of a Thursday night.

Here's what's opened, relocated, or is close enough to plan around, staying within the walkable core:
- Tres Toros Tacos & Tequila at 121 W. Main, Unit B, in the old Shred Monk space. The Big Sky Town Center original opened its downtown sibling in February 2026, run by Executive Chef Brandon Blanchard with Twist and Jaime Thompson.
